Dr. Hebert presently serves as the Director of the International Business Program housed within the College of Business Administration at Harding University. He is also Professor of Business within the same College. Harding University is a small private university of approximately 6,000 students. Three times he has been honored by inclusion in, “Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers.” He also received the “Faculty of the Year Award” from the College of Business Administration at Harding University.  In addition to his duties at the university, Dr. Hebert also is a business consultant.
He began his career at the University of Cincinnati after graduating with his PhD from the Ohio State University. After continuing his teaching career at Virginia Commonwealth University he went to work for Dames & Moore, an international engineering consulting firm. His industry experience included working in the oil and gas field as a petroleum landman, a bank vice president and starting several of his own businesses. He later directed an international partnership to locate and commercialize cutting edge technologies.
Dr. Hebert has conducted numerous business seminars in several countries over the past several years including China, El Salvador, Guatemala, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Romania, Ukraine, and Russia. In addition, he has worked in numerous countries during his professional career including Japan, Canada, Nigeria and the United Kingdom. He has participated in several projects as part of a technical support staff as well as managing several multi-million dollar projects
 

Dr. Hebert also served as a State Legislator in the New Mexico State Senate, serving two terms. He served on the Senate Finance Committee, Chaired the Public Relations Committee and served on several other senate standing committees during his tenure. In addition, he also served on and chaired several other interim committees. He also served in party leadership roles while in the State Senate

He is married to Doris. They have three daughters, each a professional in their chosen field. They have three grandchildren. Dr. Hebert and his wife Doris live in Searcy, Arkansas. Dr. Hebert was raised in Alaska. His wife was raised in New Mexico.
