In 1995 Dr.
Hebert was invited to present a seminar to a colloquium co-sponsored
by the American Chamber of Commerce and the Fudacion Salvadoreana
Para el Desarrollo Economico y Social (FUSADES in San Salvador, El
Salvador that focused on globalization. Then in 2005 Dr.
Hebert was invited by students of his from El Salvador to present a
seminar to an Evangelical Church in San Salvador on the importance
of personal character in business. As part of this week long
effort he was also invited to present a two hour class to students
at the Evangelical University of San Salvador. He was also
invited to discuss the importance of character and business in the
homes of several independent businessmen from the city of San
Salvador.
As a result of
this work a one week seminar was presented at the Evangelical
University of San Salvador in July of 2006 on the importance of
personal character in business. In addition, a successful
Christian businessman and business woman from the United
States—Norman Herod and Julie Prendergast—presented a three day
seminar on attributes of building and maintaining a successful
business. Seminar directors stayed with Christian families in
San Salvador. Leaders of the seminars stayed in the homes of
Christians such as those seen in the picture to your left.
